Terms & Conditions
Draft terms for Namo Gangay. Please have these reviewed by a lawyer before publishing.
1. Bookings and payment
A booking is confirmed only when we acknowledge it by WhatsApp, email or phone. Day-trip payment is due at base before the safety briefing. Expedition bookings require an advance to hold the slot, with the balance due before departure. Prices quoted on this site are per person and may change with season and group size.
2. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel a day trip up to 24 hours before the departure time and an expedition up to 7 days before, for a full refund of any advance paid. Later cancellations and no-shows are not refundable. If we cancel for water level, weather, safety or any administrative closure of the river, you receive a full refund or a free reschedule at your choice.
3. Risk and liability
White-water rafting is an adventure sport carrying inherent risks including injury and, in rare circumstances, death. Every participant signs a declaration of understanding before boarding. We take every reasonable precaution — certified guides, maintained equipment, briefings and rescue cover — but participation is at your own risk and we are not liable for loss, injury or damage other than that arising from proven negligence on our part.
4. Fitness and disclosure
You must declare medical conditions, pregnancy, recent surgery, and any inability to swim before the trip. Our guides may refuse participation on safety grounds, including for intoxication, and no refund is due in that case.
5. Conduct and environment
Follow your guide's instructions at all times. Alcohol and drugs are prohibited before and during trips. Do not litter on the river or beaches; everything carried in must be carried out.
6. Media
We may photograph or film trips for our own promotional use. Tell us before departure if you do not wish to appear, and we will respect that.
7. Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India, with jurisdiction in the courts of Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
